Why Euro Marble is Sydney’s home for marble benchtops
Marble is a natural product. Two slabs of the same variety can vary in veining, tone and density – which is why where you buy matters as much as what you buy. Everything about how we work is built around that fact.
You hand-pick the actual slab
Every marble slab in our Marrickville showroom is full-size and individually selected. You walk the showroom, choose the exact piece that becomes your kitchen, and reserve it in your name. No catalogue surprises, no thumbnail guesswork.
Direct European supply
We hold long-standing relationships with quarries across Italy, Greece and Turkey. That means consistent access to the most sought-after varieties – Calacatta, Statuario, Carrara, Arabescato and more – and it means the marble is genuine, sourced directly, not a manufactured lookalike.
Everything done in-house, in Sydney
Templating, cutting, polishing, edging and installation are all handled by our own stonemasons at the Marrickville workshop, using 5-axis CNC and waterjet fabrication machinery. Nothing is outsourced. One team, one point of accountability, from your first showroom visit through to the day your benchtop is signed off.
The clearest example of what that capability means: a recent project in Kurraba Point, where our team fabricated and installed a bookmatched Calacatta Vagli staircase climbing through a five-storey home – more than fifty slabs matched face to face so the veining runs as one unbroken line from the ground floor up. Before a single cut, every slab was photographed, measured and laid into a digital montage for the client’s approval. If we can match a five-storey staircase that closely, a bookmatched island bench or a mitred benchtop edge is straightforward by comparison.
Trusted across Sydney’s residential projects
Architects and interior designers across Sydney – from Bronte and Vaucluse to Mosman and Double Bay – use Euro Marble for high-end residential work. Whether the brief is a single marble bathroom vanity or a full kitchen in one of Sydney’s most prestigious suburbs, the same care goes into every piece.
Honest care advice
Marble lives differently to engineered stone. Before your project is signed off, we walk you through how to seal it, how to clean it, and how to live with it so it ages beautifully – not badly.

The marble varieties in our Sydney showroom
Different marbles suit different homes. The Marrickville showroom carries the most-requested varieties for Sydney kitchens and bathrooms, plus rarer one-off slabs for buyers wanting something distinctive.
Calacatta
A bright white background with bold, dramatic grey or gold veining. The classic statement marble for a kitchen island bench, splashback or bathroom vanity. We carry Calacatta Oro, Calacatta Borghini and Calacatta Vagli among others.
Statuario
Crisp white background with sharp, defined veining. A premium choice for kitchens and vanities that want maximum contrast and a bright, gallery-like finish.
Carrara
Soft white-grey background with finer, feathery veining. A more understated, lived-in look – and the marble most often associated with classic Italian kitchens.
Arabescato
Pearly white with intricate, web-like veining. A timeless and slightly more textured alternative to Calacatta, popular for kitchen benchtops and splashbacks.
Beyond the whites, the collection extends to black marbles (Nero Marquina, Nuova Portoro), grey marbles (Tundra Grey, Bardiglio), and colour collections including green, pink and red marble – over 150 natural stone variants in total.
Natural marble vs engineered stone: why it matters
Natural marble is quarried directly from the earth – each slab is genuinely unique in its veining, movement and tone. Engineered stone is a manufactured composite: consistent, but the same from one slab to the next, without the depth or prestige of the real thing. We work only in natural stone, and that is deliberate. Every benchtop we supply and install is the genuine material, sourced directly from European quarries.
The Euro Marble process, from showroom to installed benchtop
We run the same five-step process for every project.
1. Showroom visit
You meet the team at 11 Rich Street, Marrickville, walk the showroom and hand-pick your slab. Bring your kitchen plans if you have them – if not, we will guide you through what works for your space.
2. Slab reserved
The exact slab you choose is reserved in your name. No one else can buy that piece. You know precisely what is going into your kitchen.
3. Templating
Once your cabinetry is installed, we come on site to template the benchtop digitally – capturing every measurement, cut-out and edge profile.
4. Fabrication
Your slab is cut, polished, edged and finished in our own Marrickville workshop by experienced stonemasons using 5-axis CNC and waterjet machinery. Nothing is outsourced.
5. Installation and care walk-through
The same team installs your benchtop, seals it, and walks you through how to clean and maintain your marble so it ages beautifully.

Where can I buy marble benchtops in Sydney?
At Euro Marble – 11 Rich Street, Marrickville NSW 2204, in Sydney’s Inner West. The showroom carries one of Australia’s largest curated ranges of European marble slabs – Calacatta, Statuario, Carrara and Arabescato among them – and our team fabricates and installs every benchtop in-house. Note that Euro Marble Sydney is an independent Australian family business, not affiliated with stone companies of a similar name overseas.
How much does a marble benchtop cost in Sydney?
It depends on the stone you choose, the slab thickness, the edge profile, the cut-outs and the complexity of the installation – and any supplier who quotes a flat rate before seeing your project is guessing. Premium Calacatta and Statuario sit at the top of the range. We provide fully installed quotes that cover the lot: supply, templating, fabrication, edge profile, sealing, delivery and installation. The number we quote is the number you pay.
What’s the most popular marble for Sydney kitchens?
Calacatta and Carrara are the most-requested marbles in our Sydney showroom, followed by Statuario for buyers wanting brighter whites with more dramatic veining. Honed finishes are increasingly popular because they reduce the visibility of the small etch marks that come with using natural marble in a working kitchen.
How long does it take to install a marble benchtop?
Once cabinetry is installed and final approval is signed off, we typically template within a week and have the benchtop fabricated and installed within one to three weeks. Bespoke veining matches or rare slabs can extend that timeline.
Do I need to seal a marble benchtop?
Yes. Marble is porous and will absorb spills if it is not sealed. We apply a quality penetrating sealer at installation, which protects the surface for six to twelve months between re-applications, and we walk you through care and re-sealing before signing your project off.
Can I see real marble slabs before I buy?
Yes – and you should. No two slabs of natural marble are identical, so a showroom visit is the only way to truly know what you are buying. Book a visit to the Marrickville showroom to view full slabs in natural light.
How does Euro Marble compare to other marble suppliers in Sydney?
Sydney has a genuinely competitive marble market – from large wholesalers distributing stone at volume, to boutique slab galleries focused on supply only, to full-service fabricators like us. Each model serves a different need. Supply-only showrooms offer broad viewing and competitive slab pricing, but you then co-ordinate your own fabricator and installer. Our model is different: supply, fabrication and installation under one roof at Marrickville, with over 35 years of continuous Sydney operation and a 4.9-star Google rating. If your project needs a slab only, a wholesaler may suit you fine. If you want one team accountable for the finished benchtop, that is what we are built for.
