How to clean a marble slab?
Marble is a more porous material than other natural stones. Make sure you never use harsh chemicals with high acidity when cleaning your marble slab as you may cause damage. To clean marble make sure to blot up any liquid spills as soon as possible. Then mix a little soap into warm water and apply it either straight to a soft, clean wet cloth (microfibre is recommended) or with a spray bottle. Wipe the surface of the marble slab down with the cloth and immediately ensure that you rinse the slab and dry it completely.Â

Marble slabs for sale can cost anywhere from $600 to $2200 per square metre on average. The reason for the wide range in price is due to the fact that there are many different types of available marble in Australia. Carrara marble, for example, is towards the more economical end of the spectrum while Calacatta marble is one of the priciest types of marble stone. Remember that installation costs, including labour and any additional cuts or amendments to your marble slab, will need to be taken into account as well.
