    Materials / Marble

Calacatta Manhattan captivates with its show of sparkling alabaster white marble intertwined with a complex veining of sensual ash grey, delicate green and ivory tones. The intricate multi-tonal threads move across the surface of the stone in a dramatic composition – a hypnotic storm of colour and depth that gives rise to a natural stone that is as alluring to the eye as it is soothing.

Calacatta Manhattan Marble, an enthralling natural stone that beautifully shows off Mother Nature’s talents, provides an exquisite detailing for any home. Refine the aesthetics of your interior spaces by infusing them with glamorous marble features. Bring bathrooms to life with sophisticated marble walls and vanities, add a dash of opulence to your kitchen with an eye-catching marble benchtop, or even lend your entrance hall a touch of grandeur with an exclusive marble staircase. This exquisite natural material is the epitome of luxury; its unrivalled beauty and versatility make it easy to see why it is the first choice of designers and architects alike.

Compared to other types of marble available, Calacatta is rare, sourced in the Apuan Mountains in Carrara, Italy. This rarity, combined with the vibrant white and dramatic veining, makes it far more exclusive and regarded as a high-end product. The pristine white tones of the marble, combined with the porous nature of the stone, mean that to keep your Calacatta Manhattan Marble looking radiant at all times a certain amount of maintenance is required.

    Caring for Your Marble

Marble, while fairly hardy, does not fair well with harsh or acidic detergents or cleaning substances. Your natural stone surfaces should be wiped down regularly, or if a spill should occur, clean immediately with warm water and a mild or pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid using any substances that contain ammonia, bleach, or vinegar.

Care for your marble furnishings by re-sealing your stone every 2-5 years. The marble should always be pre-sealed before installation; however, wear and use of the marble especially in high-traffic areas such as kitchen countertops and living room floors will mean that your marble will need a little extra care in the form of a protective layer provided by the sealant. Sealing your marble help prevent staining and etching of your elegant stone pieces. Remember to always enquire with your stone professional as to the best sealant to use on your marble finishes.
