Carrara Gioia
Materials / Marble
In ancient times, Carrara Gioia was heavily prized for its exceptionally fine jagged grey seams that seem to crisscross a white to grey backdrop. The stone was used by the likes of Michelangelo to create masterpieces like the Statue of David and many public spaces in Imperial Rome were clad in it like the Siena Cathedral. Its safe to say that nothing has changed today with continual interest for the material of unparalleled beauty that can be used in a wide range of applications to create a desirable and splendid effect.
Carrara Gioia is an exclusive material of Euro Marble that may be used in many types of different projects for interiors as floorings, staircases, various facings, decorations and small domestic objects, as well as countertops for bathrooms and kitchens.
Differences between Carrara Gioia and Carrara C
When venturing out to purchase Carrara for a new project most assume and imagine that there is only a single variety of the stone available. However this is not the case and the term Carrara is often thrown around to label a large range of different marbles (more than 150 different variations) that geographically speaking are quarried from the Carrara and surrounding areas in Italy.
The main differences between Carrara C and Gioia are:
- Carrara C encompasses a white to whitish background with an even and consistent pattern that is NOT very heavily marked by veining like the Carrara Gioia
- The background colour of the Gioia tends to be almost always darker than that of the Carrara C
