Turquoise Green Granite is the star of this Enmore home, running across the kitchen island, cooktop bench and splashback as one continuous sweep of stone that sets the tone for the whole living space.
The stone itself is the draw in, soft green tones threaded with fine, copper-hued veining that gives an almost oceanic quality. It shifts as you move around it, no two sections quite the same, which suits a home that isn’t afraid of colour.
Against the forest-green cabinetry and warm timber fluting, the granite’s cool colour palette really comes into its own, and the brass and copper tapware pick up on those thin gold veins running through the stone. The island itself is curved into a soft, pill-shaped form, a nice reminder of how adaptable natural stone can be when the joinery is designed around it. Carrying the same slab of Turquoise Green Granite through to the cooktop bench and splashback keeps everything reading as one, rather than three separate surfaces.
It’s not just a good-looking stone, granite is a notoriously durable stone, and in a kitchen environment puts itself leagues above other materials.
What you’re left with is a kitchen that doubles as a gallery piece and a genuine gathering space, where the stone, the colour choices and the warmer materials all sit together comfortably.
