When Kookai set out to reimagine their Canberra flagship, the brief was clear: a space that felt as considered and elevated as the collections it would house. Euro Marble was engaged to supply and install the natural stone elements that would anchor the interior — and the selections made speak to a design sensibility that is at once earthy and refined.

At the heart of the store, a striking point of sale counter clad in Breccia Fantastico Marble. Its sweeping veins of burnt sienna, terracotta and ash move across the stone’s surface like an abstract canvas. It’s an almost uncanny dialogue with the expressionist paintings hung throughout the space. 

Positioned as a sculptural accent within the fitting room lounge, a plinth and coffee table in Onyx Fantastico bring a different kind of drama — one that glows. The stone’s amber and caramel banding, translucent in quality, catches the warm lighting of the interior and radiates a quiet luminosity that no manufactured material could replicate.

Completing the palette, a display table in Travertine Alabastrino grounds the space with its characteristic softness. Its fine, creamy texture and subtle movement offer relief from the intensity of the other selections, lending the overall composition a sense of balance and calm.

Together, these three stones, each extraordinary in its own right, form a coherent material narrative: one of geological beauty applied with intention.
